Not A Trend is a youth-led (but all age-inclusive) campaign, born out of frustration in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd in 2020. We wanted to create a space for everybody to be able express their anger and have their voices heard, especially those who were unable to join in-person events due to the pandemic.
Speaking at a number of anti-racist events that summer, the term ‘performative activism’ was a topic that came up time and time again. We were determined to find a way to ensure the multitude of anti-racism pledges being made were upheld long after the buzz around trending hashtags has calmed down.

Using the experience we’ve gained from speaking on panels and hosting workshops, we are now rolling out More Than A Month, our decolonising programme freely available to state schools across the country. We want to help staff and students create changes at school that reflect the rich history of society at all times, not just during an awareness week or month.
We’re committed to advocating for a decolonised education system and welcome you on that journey with us.
We look forward to working with you!
